How can i pick up a parcel without a non-delivery card?
i've recently moved house but my friend from america has sent my birthday present to my previous address... i've told the landlord but he's refusing to answer my calls/texts so i don't have a red card to take to the post office depot.. do you think they'll let me collect my parcel if i provide proof of my previous address and identification at the depot??How can i pick up a parcel without a non-delivery card?

Can you use a post office for a parcel delivery for youself, then simply pick it up from there?
If Parcelforce try to deliver and get no answer they will take it to the nearest Post Office and leave a card for you to collect from there, don't forget to leave it 24 hours before collecting and take ID with you. Royal Mail have a similar system but they return it to the local delivery office which is where the postmen work from, in some locations where the delivery office is a long way from the recipients address they have an arrangement with Post Office to leave it at a local Post Office but the card that is put through the door will always tell you where to collect it.
There is also a service called Post Restante which can only be used for items sent via Royal Mail. Royal Mail delivered my Special Delivery Parcel late. Can I claim?
I posted someone tickets in the mail that were schedueled for 1pm special delivery. The tickets arrived at 1.25pm and although this probably isnt a great amount in your eyes but the tickets were for a concert that started at 2pm therefore the person had to rush and barely made it. Can I claim a refund or some sort of compensation? I have no idea how this all works.

If a package arrives at the post office at like 11AM, and you need to pay some delivery charges, will the post office contact you the same day or does it take a few days? I ordered an item off amazon, it got dispatched yesterday, standard delivery, I'm unsure if they will deliver it tomorrow, so would I be able to pick it up tomorrow morning because I reckon it should be at the local depot.

The reason is that all the mail streams are kept separate. Mail Due to b delivered, mail that has been collected, very large parcels, special delivery and tracked are all kept apart from each other for logistical reasons. Also on a Saturday the time window from the Parcel arriving at the Office and being put in a van to be delivered could be as small as 10 minutes.
To be frank it would probably cause more problems trying to collect it than waiting at the address, and if the people in the callers Office stick to the rules they are not allowed to give you the parcel without the Red Card anyway.

Does anyone know a parcel delivery service / courier that will deliver ceramics?
i'm setting up an online arts and crafts business and have just realised that most couriers i've looked at refuse to deliver ceramic items. i know i won't be the only person who posts out pots, slate and canvases. there must be a courier out there that will do it?

I will assume you have made a vase or a dish, wrap that in bubble wrap, then line a box with popcorn, be generous. Place the item in the box and then use the popcorn to fill every nook and cranny, so there is no space let in the box.
If your package is dropped or thrown around the popcorn will absorb some of the impact and make it less likely the item is broken. The popcorn can then be placed in someones garden for the birds, giving your packaging a 'recyclable' aspect.
Use rigid cardboard boxes, try not to recycle these as they lose their strength with repeated use and make sure you tape up the box really well.

No parcel posted any time between now and xmas (or sent by courier) is likely to get there next day even if you have paid [as i did] for that service. There are currently huge backlogs of mail and courier packages that the transport sector has not a hope in hell of clearing before xmas and with severe weather just started again it will get worse before it gets better. You have missed the boat - the media have been telling us about the huge back logs for the last 2 weeks you know.
I was supposed to have DHL collect a parcel on 14th, they have not come yet.

Saudi Post parcel delivery without PO Box?
An ebay seller shipped a package through USPS, and it's handled by Saudi Post once it arrives the Kingdom. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to write the PO Box number on the shipping address. Worse, the seller did not write my mobile number on the package either. But the address is ok.
