I sent a parcel of goods to someone on ebay but I didn't use recorded delivery I just used the royal mail standard one. I have a receipt that proves I paid for the postage. Yes, is the simple answer.
Your receipt from the post office will show the weight of the parcel, the time you sent it, the postcode you sent it to and the date. That is sufficient to prove you posted the package.

You don't need to withdraw the money if you want to use it for another Ebay purchase, or in another online shop that accepts Paypal. You can pay using some, all or more than the money in your account and if necessary, Paypal will access your backup funding source (bank account) for the extra.

Parcel post mail delivery dates?
My dad sent 4 boxes on November 22nd via parcel post from Salem, Oregon to St Croix Virgin Islands. With a delivery date of Decemeber 6th. Well here it is December 7th an no packages, I know I must seem antsy but here is the kicker, these 4 boxes hold everything that we need to go to Africa on Decemeber 12th it contains water purifier and so on. Now on the website it says it could take up to 12 business days, I am trying not to freak out here. Has anyone had any problems with parcel post? it does not have delivery confirmation, we tried calling the USPS and they said there is No way of tracking it. we have 3 days left the post office here is closed on saturday and on sunday, and we leave sunday morning at 6 am? Am I over reacting, do they usually get to there destination in the time they say it will get there, there is just alot riding on these 4 boxes any information, or personal experiene would really help me out!!

Seeing as time isn't an issue I wouldn't use a courier service as you would be paying a premium to use them. Just use one of the cost calculators on each of the companies to get an indication of the costs.

Delivery man will leave a slip on your door that they tried to deliver it. Mailing times are always longer at Christmas, that's why we're always being told to post early! There will be a huge volume of mail coming from the UK and it all needs to be checked by Australian Quarantine before going into the mail system so expect some delays there. Plus Australia Post were on strike yesterday which doesn't help.
Expecting the package to get here in 4-6 days at this time of year was overly optimistic. A more realistic timeframe would be 2 to 3 weeks. If you haven't received it after 3 weeks contact the sender. I ordered something from Canada three weeks ago, and I honestly don't expect to see it until the New Year.

Mailing times are always longer at Christmas, that's why we're always being told to post early! There will be a huge volume of mail coming from the UK and it all needs to be checked by Australian Quarantine before going into the mail system so expect some delays there. Plus Australia Post were on strike yesterday which doesn't help.
Expecting the package to get here in 4-6 days at this time of year was overly optimistic. A more realistic timeframe would be 2 to 3 weeks. If you haven't received it after 3 weeks contact the sender. I ordered something from Canada three weeks ago, and I honestly don't expect to see it until the New Year.
The link you gave is simply Australia Post's 'expected date calculator', not a guarantee that an item will arrive on a specified date.

whats the difference between the top 2? the parcel out for delivery ,then the top one at 10oclock, parcel with courier for delivery? does it mean its out in the van or?

Different couriers use different teminology when you track parcels online. In answer to your question about the first two lines, your parcel was loaded onto a van or truck for delivery to you at 7.36 am on 5th Oct.
Then it confirmed that at 10.14 am on the same day it was still in the truck for delivery as the driver delivered all of the parcels.
You have to read the lines from bottom in order to realise the different stages that your parcel has gone through.Whats the difference between: Parcel with courier for delivery and Out for delivery ?
the 2nd one means that it has left the depot and it will be meeting with the courier.
the 1st means it is with the driver and on its way too you.
DHL now use people with cars to deliver on their behalf so.....
so explaination again
