do the companies just scan the barcode on the package or do they type what address they;re being delivered to? like if my parcel was delivered to the wrong address would the parcel delivery company go to their house and ask for the parcel or would they not know where it was left.Do delivery companies have records where they left the item?
the items are scanned for consignment number not addresses, the address is already on the package and the papaerwork held by the driver and the delivery office he works for . your parcel can be tracked from collection to delivery point. if he has made a mistake and it has gone to the wrong address the driver can be sacked for misconduct but they will not retreive the item. if he realises in the same day and can go back to the house he delivered to then all well and good . they can provide you with signature and name proof of signee and address if asked by the police
