Do you have to sign for a Standard Delivery (Royal Mail 1st Class Standard) parcel?

I am at work during the day this week and was just wondering because collecting at the post office is incredibly lame.

ThanksDo you have to sign for a Standard Delivery (Royal Mail 1st Class Standard) parcel?
No.

But if it doesn't fit through your letterbox you will probably have to go to your local delivery office to pick it up. Unless of course you have an arrangement with your posty, such as leaving it in your shed or under a bush.

Things that need a signature:

Recorded

Special Delivery

Some tracked (they have a purple sticker and Amazon use it a lot). Most tracked have the words 'safe place' on them, which means they don't need a signature and the postman can leave them somewhere safe, such as in your porch or shed.Do you have to sign for a Standard Delivery (Royal Mail 1st Class Standard) parcel?
No, only if it's a recorded delivery parcel. However if it doesn't fit through the letterbox you may have to be there, unless you leave a sign on your door to leave it with a neighbour or in a side shed(if you have one) that's what I do. Obviously ask neighbour but I always take my neighbours parcel's in, should start charging lol.Do you have to sign for a Standard Delivery (Royal Mail 1st Class Standard) parcel?
