Parcel post mail delivery dates?

My dad sent 4 boxes on November 22nd via parcel post from Salem, Oregon to St Croix Virgin Islands. With a delivery date of Decemeber 6th. Well here it is December 7th an no packages, I know I must seem antsy but here is the kicker, these 4 boxes hold everything that we need to go to Africa on Decemeber 12th it contains water purifier and so on. Now on the website it says it could take up to 12 business days, I am trying not to freak out here. Has anyone had any problems with parcel post? it does not have delivery confirmation, we tried calling the USPS and they said there is No way of tracking it. we have 3 days left the post office here is closed on saturday and on sunday, and we leave sunday morning at 6 am? Am I over reacting, do they usually get to there destination in the time they say it will get there, there is just alot riding on these 4 boxes any information, or personal experiene would really help me out!!

If there's no tracking info then how do you know they have a delivery date of 12/6? Parcel post is slow and unpredictable with no guarantee of delivery date like Priority and overnight. You'd better get your Dad to resend everything overnight. Then ship his stuff back when it does eventually arrive so he can return it for his money back.Parcel post mail delivery dates?
If you needed it that bad you should not have sent it via the post office. USPS delivery dates are nothing more than a guess except their overnight and 2day service.Parcel post mail delivery dates?
I think they will make it on time, not much you can do but relax x
you should have sent it UPS or Fed Ex

USPS can take forever and there is no real commitment date
