How long does it take for a parcel delivered by RoyalMail to get from the UK to Australia?

I have purchased something online and it comes in a package, so it's a average sized parcel,

the delivery service is RoyalMail and it is coming from the UK to Australia, any ideas when it will roughly arrive?How long does it take for a parcel delivered by RoyalMail to get from the UK to Australia?
Could be anything from a week to a year with the way Royal Mail are performing at the moment. It is now 19 January and we are still receiving Christmas cards posted as uk to uk mail from 9 December! I'm sure Royal Mail wont be able to guarantee anything at all.
Depends if it was sent by surface or airmail. I received a package from Australia exactly two weeks after it was sent by airmail, however items sent by surface mail from the US took 6 weeks to arrive...it's generally the same for Australia as well. Find out how the item was sent and that should give you a rough idea as to when to expect it...



As an aside, I also received some items from Australia which arrived TWO days after they were sent by carrier (TNT) I fell of the chair with surprise...How long does it take for a parcel delivered by RoyalMail to get from the UK to Australia?
I don't want to scare you, but when I sent a parcel to Australia from the UK last year, it took nearly 8 weeks to arrive.



It was an eBay item and it arrived the day we offered the buyer a refund.

I would say 2-3 weeks normally by airmail. Surface mail usually takes longer 4weeks +
