just im waiting for a delivery from America and i have already waited two week. the company said it can take anywhere to a month- but i thought this was a very long time to wait. as i have received deliveries from America before and it has never taken this long.What is the delivery time for a parcel from america(new york) to england(newcastle)????
The delivery time can be anywhere between a few days up to about a month.
It tends to depend upon customs as opposed to the delivery company. I've, in the past, waited 6 weeks for parcels to arrive from america as they've been sat at customs offices. All you can do is "sit and wait" I'm afraid.

What is your experience with overseas parcel delivery in India?
I had posted a surface mail parcel to India from Canada. As per Canada Post it should take 4-6 weeks from Canada to India. It took 4 months, i.e. - that is when it passed customs in India. Two weeks later it is still not delivered. Yet India post claims that postal articles are delivered within India within 5 days (maximum). No wonder the private courier service would like to takeover all the dis-satisfied customers.
If India Post could publically post its performance record from time to time, and show significant improvement it could win major postal delivery contracts from some foreign companies, due to its inherent cheaper costs. Otherwise the delivery cost due to non-performance would be considered too high to put any business at risk. Due to the new technological means availability in India through computerization at all government levels. There is no reason for a poor performance.

Australia post USPS parcel delivery?
Auspost said usps first class international parcel I sent cannot be tracked even with the custom form number.
It has been 15days(11 working days) since I posted it.
if they cant track it then how could I know whether it had reached my local postoffice mountwaverley incase I wasnt at home when they deliver it.
I havent got a card of attempted delivery either.
Should I contact my local PO and keep in toych with them?

i brought a airsoft gun on thurday 6-7pm from a very trusted website which my friends have already used multiple times.
it says 24-48 hr delivery which is basicly 1-2 days, now its saturday and i havent got anything yet AND the mail has arrivedd whisch is royal mail (royal mail isnt the company that are suppoesd to send it to me)
the couriers that the website use is called parcel force + i live in the UK which is zone 1 and that is supposed to have a guarantee for 2 days MAX delivery.
i am confused and it might come later in the day i just want to know what might be a issue here so if you know why it is taking longer than usual then please tell me

Royal Mail Parcel Delivery problem?
I recently moved address and bought a package from Shopto.net and forgot to edit my old address on PayPal and the order was processed ridulously quickly so I didn't have time to interfere with the delivery, anyway the package is free 1st Class delivery only (Not the Sign for I believe).
Question1: What will happen to my Parcel since no one has moved into my old address yet, will Royal Mail hold the package (I believe they only do this for recorded deliverys?) at the sorting office or will they send a 1st Class non delivery back to Shopto, I've emailed both but I can't be bothered to wait for a possible few days for an answer.
Question2: If Royal Mail hold the package at the sorting office, how will I go about collecting the package since I'm at a different address and won't have the neccessary P### Card to collect the parcel? I've phoned a few Royal Mail numbers and haven't even spoke to an Operator, their contact numbers are useless.

you will then have 3 weeks to collect you item with Valid ID ( with your old address on)

If the package will fit through the door of your old address the Postie will post it through, If it is too large then they should take it back to the local sorting office and leave you a red "Sorry you were out" card. This is regardless of whether the package is signed for or not.
Normally, the sorting office will only be able to give you the package on production of the red card. If you are unable to obtain the card from your old address I would recommend calling the local sorting office directly or popping in and explaining to them. They will probably just hand the package over if you have some ID on you
