I bought an item in ebay which was shipped via Parcel Post last Feb 20,2009. Does anyone have an idea how long it will reach the destination? The item was shipped from Kent Washington and destination is Maryland. Thanks so much. Package should reach destination on March 13 so I'm very anxious as the seller stated that the item would be shipped Standard Flat Rate and not Parcel. Thanks! What is USPS's parcel post delivery time?
6 to 10 Days. Check to see if it has a delivery conformation

What time do you need to have a parcel in by to meet the last drop off for next day delivery - first class?
I want to send a parcel tomorrow, from Scotland to England, to get there for Saturday.
It's quite a small parcel, not very heavy. When I sent one once at around 2pm I was told I missed the last drop off time for first class next day, but it would get there the day after tomorrow.
What time should I have it in by tomorrow? What time do you need to have a parcel in by to meet the last drop off for next day delivery - first class?
Do it as early as possible. Just as the last daytime train of the day to London has to leave Scotland around 5PM, so parcel collections have to leave similarly early. If there are two collections, some items in the second collection might not make it for next day delivery. What time do you need to have a parcel in by to meet the last drop off for next day delivery - first class?
as soon as it opens to be sure. if it were the other way round its before 4

If you post a parcel with recorded delivery and they don't pick up the item.Is the item legally yours?
I had a parcel sent back to me on recorded delivery .Is this legally mine now????If you post a parcel with recorded delivery and they don't pick up the item.Is the item legally yours?
oh wow I never thought about that, good point, technically yes, i guess.
Same thing happened to me last year. I kept the parcel for about 3 months in case they contacted me about it, which they did not, and then felt okay about keeping it.
Items sent by recorded delivery are only kept for one week at the Delivery Office. Non-recorded items are kept for one month. If you post a parcel with recorded delivery and they don't pick up the item.Is the item legally yours?
I would phone the post office. You do not want to end up getting prosecuted.
Ownership of an item will not change through posting it anywhere.
The owner is the person who has legal title to it, and that cannot change just because it was not collected or misdelivered.
For example, if you mail something belonging to me to a friend, and it is returned to you undelivered, the item does not become your property. It would still belong to me.
If someone has paid you for an item, and it is not collected by him when recorded delivery fails, for whatever reason, he is still the rightful owner. If you post a parcel with recorded delivery and they don't pick up the item.Is the item legally yours?
I guess if the Royal Mail return it to you after they have waited the required time for it to be collected then the answer is yes its yours
No, you haven't paid for it so (legally) property of the item would not have transferred to you. In order for that to happen you must treat it as 'found property' you would turn it into the local police station and NOTIFY those that might have a claim on the property, if after 90 days they fail to claim it, THEN you could claim it as 'found property' and it would become yours.
hmmm maybe but Id ask at the post office and see what they say
Were you returning the parcel because you didn't want it? If so and the post office was unable to deliver then you are still responsible to pay for it. If instead, you were sending a parcel and it was returned then you still own it. If the receiver had paid for it, then you need to refund the money. Since the address you have is invalid, you will need to keep the money unspent for at least a year until the other party has had a chance to contact you and provide a new address for delivery of the parcel.cb radio sample sales

You will have to contact the company delivering the parcel, only they can give you the most accurate information you need.Parcel delivery times?
The best answer is for you to find out what agency is sending it....UPS...FEDEX..etc...and call them. Phone numbers should be in the yellow pages of your phone book......white pages too....good luck
Call the company that is sending it and ask which service they use.Parcel delivery times?
I sent a parcel by parcel post, sent from and to the UK, 1st Class and it still has not arrived at its destination. I think there should be a sustained campaign to complain!

Can forgetting to put a name on a parcel delay the delivery?
Assuming the address is a house with one postal address it will make no difference at all.
If it is a block of flats you may have a problem.
The most important thing to ensure quick delivery is a postal code.

How can i pick up a parcel without a non-delivery card?
i've recently moved house but my friend from america has sent my birthday present to my previous address... i've told the landlord but he's refusing to answer my calls/texts so i don't have a red card to take to the post office depot.. do you think they'll let me collect my parcel if i provide proof of my previous address and identification at the depot??How can i pick up a parcel without a non-delivery card?
Yes take photo id and proof of your old address they will let you have the parcel.
Not all cards are left and that is the way to obtain your parcel from the depot.
yes proof of identification and previous address is is enoughHow can i pick up a parcel without a non-delivery card?
you just walk in and say " hey, i'm realated to the president and i need to pick up a parcel, but i don't have my card with me.. it's at the white house"
I would thing that if you showed proof of who you are they would give it to you. It sounds like your landlord is pissed so there is a chance he might do something with the package if he receives it. You better get a hold of the shipper and have them hold it for you.How can i pick up a parcel without a non-delivery card?
Yes, you don't need the card if you can prove who you are and have a utility bill or something with the old address on.
I don't see why not if you have the proper ID.
